The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults and Children (RCIA) is the process established for the universal Church to prepare individuals who seek to become Catholic and receive the sacraments of initiation – Baptism, Confirmation and the Eucharist. This initiation process also involves the parish community. This allows those already Catholic to experience a renewal in faith as they share in preparing and welcoming new members into the Church.
