Year of Mercy Event on Restorative Justice- On Wednesday, November 30 at 7:00 PM , Holy Trinity Parish (502 Cherrywood Road, Louisville) invites all to attend its Year of Mercy panel discussion entitled,"a Merciful Justice: Restorative in Catholic Tradition and Local Application: Faith in Action." Restorative justice is a process where offenders have an opportunity to own wrongdoings, apologize, and make amends in an effort to put things right. Some in the community have called it "Mom's justice" because of its simplicity and similarity to good parenting. This program will show how this modern practice with historical roots in the Church's social justice tradition has been shown to reduce recidivism of offenders and increase victim satisfaction with the judicial process.
Featuring Archbishop Joseph Kurtz, Tori Murden-McClure, Judge Angela Bisig, County Attorney Mike O'Connell, and other civic leaders, this event will be held in the parish multi-purpose building. Please RSVP by calling Therese Carroll-Caruso at 502-897-5207. for further information, go to
